• Sin duda alguna, el icono por excelencia de los cronos automáticos de Seiko en la década de los 70, el Bullhead.

• No doubt. The quintessential icon of Seiko chronograph automatic in the early 70s, is the Bullhead.

• Movidos por el calibre 6138 y con una disposición sin igual de corona y pulsadores, este diseño rompe con la estética de los modelos deportivos de la marca, subiendo un peldaño más en personalidad y manteniendo como no, unos excelentes acabados.

Los primeros ejemplares empiezan a salir al mercado en 1974, y duran como toda esta saga de movimientos 6138 hasta 1979. Durante este periodo se fabrican dos modelos base de distinto color, y se añaden variantes para la comercialización exclusiva en Japón. Empezaremos con estas versiones, que son mis preferidas.

Seiko 6139-7010 y 6139-7002.

Aquí otro ejemplo donde la marca creó infinidad de variantes partiendo de un modelo base. El modelo 7010, comerzializado solo en 1970 únicamente para el mercado japonés, firmado water proof, y el 7002 variante más común para el resto del mundo. La caja es la misma pero el diseño es totalmente distinto. El armis, donde el 7002 lleva una variante de lujo y sobrio Stelux, el 7010 monta un exótico al más puro estilo Speed-Timer, lo mismo ocurre con el dial. Yo lo tengo claro, las versiones Speed-Timer son preciosas.
